How to Play

DumFicky is a four-card lowball draw game with a twist: your hand can't repeat a suit or a value. The perfect hand is 2-3-4-5 of four different suits, and — unlike most low games — the ace plays high, so it's the worst card you can hold. Two draws let you throw the junk and chase four low, four-suit cards.

🌈Four suits, four values. A legal hand shows one card of each suit with no repeated rank. The lowest such hand wins — the best is 2-3-4-5 rainbow. The ace is HIGH, so A-3-4-5 loses to 2-3-4-5.

🔁Two draws, $1 a card. On each of two draws, throw any cards and draw replacements for $1 each — or stand pat. It's the only way to improve, so it's worth paying to swap out high cards and duplicates.

✂️A duplicate never kills you. If you can't make four different suits and values, the repeated card simply doesn't play — you show your best three, then two. But more cards always beats fewer, so a four-suit hand beats any three.

A hand, step by step

Ante & deal. Everyone antes $1 and gets four cards, face down.

First betting round. $1 limit, up to three raises.

First draw. In turn, throw any cards and draw replacements for $1 each — or stand pat.

Second betting round.

Second draw. One more chance to swap cards, $1 each.

Final betting round, then the showdown. Each player shows their largest legal subset — the most cards they can make with all different suits and values. More cards beats fewer; among equal sizes the lowest hand wins (compare the highest card down). Ties split.
