How to Play

Pineapple plays just like Texas Hold’em, but each player is dealt three private hole cards instead of two. After the flop, everyone discards one of their three cards, leaving two to finish the hand. (This is the popular Crazy Pineapple ordering — you peek at the flop before deciding what to throw away.) From there it’s normal Hold’em: turn, river, and a showdown using your two remaining cards plus the five shared community cards. Home rules: everyone antes $1 (no blinds), and every bet or raise is exactly $1, capped at three raises per round.

🍍Three hole cards. One more than Hold'em to start.
✂️Discard after the flop. See the flop, then throw one away (Crazy Pineapple), keeping your best two.
🟢Hold'em from there. Turn, river, and a showdown on your two remaining cards plus the board.

A hand, step by step

  1. Ante. Every player puts $1 into the pot before the deal. With four players, the pot starts at $4.
  2. Hole cards. Each player is dealt three cards face-down. A betting round follows (pre-flop).
  3. The flop. Three community cards are dealt face-up in the middle. Betting round.
  4. Discard. After the flop, each player discards one of their three hole cards, keeping the best two for the rest of the hand.
  5. The turn. A fourth community card is added. Betting round.
  6. The river. A fifth and final community card is added. Final betting round.
  7. Showdown. Best five-card hand from your two remaining cards + the five shared cards wins the pot.

Watch a Full Hand — step by step

A complete 4-player hand from the dealer’s view. Each player starts with three hole cards; after the flop you’ll see the hero discard one (it greys out and disappears). Use Next to advance, or Auto-play. Player 1 (Dana) is “you” — only you can see your own hole cards until showdown.

Pre-deal
Step 1 / 1
🟢 The five cards in the middle are shared by everyone. Cards with a gold underline are your private hole cards. After the flop, watch one of your three cards get discarded (greyed out).
